My Hanns G hg281d just died, so I need a new monitor. I have a huge desk. so ?I sit about 3.5-4 feet or so from the screen. I am running an ancient 8800gt video card and I can't afford both a monitor and a graphics card atm. I use my computer a LOT, mostly web browsing, email, and gaming. My gaming is mostly mmo's. Wow, Star Wars, Rift, etc. I'd love to have another 19200 x 1200 27 inch, but they don't seem to exist anymore. If I got a 2560 x 1600, can I run WoW on that for a few months until I can upgrade my graphic card, or should I just get a 1900 x 1080? I really prefer 16x10.

Thanks for any advice.

You'll probably want to aim for a 1920x1080 monitor, reason being your older gpu probably doesn't have the RAM to run at higher resolutions very well. I could be wrong, it's just a guess, but that is what I would do in your position.

Thanks. Would it be feasible to get a 2560 x 1600 and run it at lower resolutions until I can get a graphic card update, or would that look horrible?
