Hello All,
I was curious if someone has any links to good guides or tutorials on Overclocking this board with the I7 4770k CPU. I am having issues with the bios on the board. I can not change the CPU ratio or VCore options through the bios because they are greyed out not giving me an option to change them however I can do it through the OC Genie software in windows but I would much rather OC in the bios. I have just upgraded from ASUS ROG Z68 Gene 4 so I am unexperienced with MSI as this is my first of their boards. Also I have not had much luck with the Genie anyways finding nothing stable over the 4.1ghz mark with decent voltage.
Any help would be appreciated! Thank you in advance :)

Solution
Should be the bar on the left hand side of the bios home screen that shows "settings" as top box. Don't click this, click the "OC" button beneath it (not the oc genie thing in top left) CPU ratio should be select-able by "adjust cpu ratio" - may have to change "cpu ratio mode" first/also. cpu voltage should be at bottom of that menu. http://uk.msi.com/service/download/manual-20911.html

Ok so by turning off the OC Genie switch on the board itself the option for the cpu ratio was no longer greyed out and I can now make changes to it in the bios.
However I found out why I can not get anything stable over 4.1, when I change the core voltage in the bios I do not think it is actually applying the change because when I get into windows and run Hardware Monitor and CPUID they both read that the volts are sitting between 0.887 and 0.890 even at full load. Going back into bios or even the oc genie software in windows the volts are still where I set them at 1.110.
I will put up a screenshot if I can. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

sorry I can not get a pic of my bios screen atm but on the MSI utility it reads the same as the bios where I highlighted the vcore. 1.110 but as you can see on CPUID and Hardware Monitor it stays at the 0.880 mark

So that is a pic of my bios for the voltage. I have it set to 1.150 but under load it stays as my previous screenshot (around 0.900) If anyone knows about this particular board and bios can you please let me know what I am doing wrong. Thank you

Thanks for the reply Goat. Even after adjusting vdroop and everything else I can think of the voltage will not change when I boot into windows. I'm almost thinking now that it could be a bigger issue then I thought. Maybe hardware? Has anyone else run into the same sort of problem?
