PC starts but no OS

Having problems with PC - the computer starts, then hangs on black screen with RAID disks. No OS. HDD hums then clicks, hums then clicks, does this until I shut the computer down. Can run a diagnostic in GParted, which does not guarantee disk health just that GParted can run the diagnostic. Need assistance please.

HDDs are WD400YR (x4) 3 are connected: 1 - OS, 2 - RAID 0 through Windows7 the 4th is a spare.
+ 2 ADATA SSDs that are RAID 0 on there own with a RAID card.
Motherboard: ASUS M5A97 R1.02
Ran diagnostic through GParted. When running the diagnostic, the HDD just spins at a low RPM, can feel it and hear it. Did diagnostic on all four. Thought it odd to have all four go dead.
Took the original HDD off, put spare on, still same thing: spins up then clicks, spins up then clicks.
Thought it may have been the 500W power supply. Installed new 750W power supply. No go.
Took the RAM off, reseated, still nothing.
The black screen, when starting up, shows the two RAIDed drives that would be attached to the OS, and shows the Two ADATA RAIDed drives, then gets stuck at the ADATA screen. Not sure if this makes sense... if not, will see about clarifying later.
Even disconnected the ADATA drives leaving the lone OS drive, still the notorious hum and click.
At work we would just order a new PC and be done with it. :)
Anyway... Think it may be the mobo?

Let's clarify:
3 WD HDDs:
1 OS
2 DATA drives software RAID0 configured in Windows disk management

2 Adata SSDs:
RAID0 on a additional hardware RAID controller? Or onboard RAID?
PC booting process stucks on initializing this controller?

It's highly unlikely for all 4 mechanical drives to fail at once.
To verify please test HDDs with WD Data Lifeguard Diagnostic from Ultimate Boot CD.

Sorry about the grammatical error of 'There'. Meant 'Their' meaning possession of the HDD...that clarified:
Yes - 3 WD HDDs:
1 OS
2 Drives RAID0 configured in Windows disk management

2 ADATA SSDs: RAID0 on RAID controller card by rosewill rc-209 pci sata controller card
Not certain as to the initialization being stuck on the controller card.
On boot to CD seems to work fine. Does the start-up, Identifies RAID configurations on both Mobo and controller card, then starts CD.
Will disconnect controller card on next boot.

Agreed on: "It's highly unlikely for all 4 mechanical drives to fail at once."
Made same analysis while discussing problem with a co-worker last week, he came to the same conclusion.
Suggested it was the power supply or Mobo.

Now thinking maybe controller card... will see.

Note: when the operation began to fail a pop-up appeared a couple times within the last few months, something like: please reduce the overclocking setting on your PC.
The overclock ability has not been installed. The BIOS has "overclocking is not installed" when looking in the O.C. settings.

Question: Is there a USB version of the Ultimate Boot CD? CD reader/writer for my laptop failed last week too as I was backing up files. The CD players/writers on the PC work fine...just cannot access those to write what I have on my laptop. :/

Rearranged inside of PC took out spare WD drive left in the OS disk and two windows RAID0 disks.
Changed the SATA port from #1 SATA port to #2 SATA. Started up with no BOOT sector available. Maybe because of SATA port 2 and 3 are the RAID configured ports? But then SATA port #1 is also RAID available... does not make sense. Any suggestions?
Note: Ran Test Disk in GParted, results: "Disk size too small" "<799GB"
Now Test Disk wants me to re-format it in FAT12?!?
This is becoming time consuming :)
Now there is no hum and click....just risking losing data. Will have to confirm when I return from work tomorrow morning. Off to save PCs at work!

You can create bootable USB from UBCD iso using rufus: http://rufus.akeo.ie/

Your problem is indeed quite weird. Try the default configuration, but without PCI RAID card (no SSDs connected). For me it looks like the culprit.
I'm afraid I won't be of much help - debugging such problems remotely is usually impossible, because it is a trail and error case.

Removed the RAID card this morning before going to bed. There are just the three WD disks attached. The #1 SATA port may have been the culprit also. Will find out in the morning after work.
Thank you much for the assistance and direction.
Will DL the UBCD as well. :)

Turns out this problem is a Mobo issue... think that it was the SATA port. Off to work at 1600hrs. Will have to continue this when off in the morning. It is my Friday! :)
Ordered SATA cables to be sure that those are not failing too.
