hi all
i would like to make a copy of my preinstalled windows 8 ( how do i do that, cd recovery??)
then create a partition and install the second copy of windows 8 on the same computer dual boot already runnin 8 os.
is this legal. i would not be using both copies of windows 8 simultanesouly, obviously.
my windows 8 is legit and came preinstalled with a new computer.
i am doing this so i can run one 0s for everyday and the other to test certain programs etc.
thanks

Most OEM PC's from the likes of Dell, HP, Toshiba, have recovery partitions on the hdd, but should have a utility on the PC to make DVD backups.

Installing the OS twice to a hdd, is probably legal, as the licence is tide to the PC, and you can only use one OS at any one time, but installing a second version to a VM is not as this requires a separate licence.
