Choosing a New Hard Drive

I know we've got tons of posts about this on the forum, but after looking around I still can't decide what to buy. So I got dual system installed, a Windows 7 and an 8, installing both of them on a Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB drive, I'm planning to move Windows 8 to a new hard drive for more storage for my data and move my server files there. (Yes I have couple servers running)
Now put all those asides, what I really wanted to ask is, what should I get?
This all 'choosing between WD Caviar Black, Blue, or Red' issue has been in my mind for quite a while, ever since I built my computer even.
I'd like performance, but not SSD since I can't really afford them.
I looked around for benchmarks, but the information I get is always vague. I still don't know does the Black version really makes a difference from the Blue one. Checked some forums too, and people are just debating like "Get black", "There's no notable differences for customers between black and blue apart from the warranty."

TL;DR, Caviar Blue, Black? Does the performance really increase using Black? And which is more appropriate for storing data? Also wondering the performance difference between Red and Black.
(Note that I have a limited budget, saving up for other things.)

Thanks.

In theory, the Black is supposed to be the faster drive. In actuality, there isn't much between them. Speed rather depends on platter size and cache - The Black drives are either 32 or 64Mb cache, while the Blue drives top out at 32Mb.
Black drives carry a five year warranty, while Blue drives are three years which is probably of more significance. But you already know this

Reds are meant for inexpensive NAS (network attached storage) setups with 2-4 bays. Spindle speed is 5900RPM if I recall correctly.

Here is a review of some of them with benchmarks

I thought WD10EZEX (one of the Caviar Blue series) offers 64MB of cache too?
Then it seems that the extra dollars don't seem to worth it?

As long as the interface is 3 Gb/s and the cache is the same , I struggle to justify buying the black, the performance is so minimal its not worth it
