Can't connect to 5 Ghz network

Are you using the Tp-Link software or the Windows 7 system tray icon to make your connection?

I would suspect that if you go into the network control panel, manage wireless networks, and move the 5GHz network to the top of the automatic connect priority list and the 2.4GHz at the bottom (or even delete it if necessary) you will stay connected to the 5GHz.

When I went to that menu , there was only 1 connection. It didn't even state whether it was 5 GHz or not.

After installing the driver , do I need to do anything else ? When I was done installing it Chrome opens the file.

sorry , I don't usually install drivers , I expected a .exe file or an application to lead me somewhere else.
