R9 290 Vs. gtx 780 (both stock)

Hello guys. I'am gonna buy a new gaming build. I was wondering which of these cards will give me highest FPS on resolution 5760x1080p on Battlefield 4. I'am not going to OC.

No those are standard clock cards. BF4 will most likely get some lower numbers.

right now the R9 looks like a winner, but, if I was the one who chose then personally i would go with the 780 (even if it is 100$ more expensive)... Why? i god damn love that stock cooler from nVidia

Surely an r9 290x will do the job better at that resolution. And these amd cards are made for that resolution so a gamer can enjoy at it's best!

I am expecting the gap to be the same in %. every test I see they talk about improvements in frame timings with the biggest issue having been crossfire not so much single card.

Looking at the results here http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-r9-290-review-benchmark,3659-6.html it will be somewhere between the two higher resolutions times 1.5 or 1.6 so stab in the dark would be 33fps x 1.5 = 49.5fps.
I see nothing that needs changing.

your fps will be somewhere between 80+ to 95+ with that awesome rig on Bf4. M talking Ultra settings with some aa.
