Hi all,

I have a fx8320 processor and I'm using it on a asrock 970pro 3 rev 2.0

BIOS is showing the processor is running at 61'c idle.

I've updated to the latest bios and:

Speedfan is showing 37'c idle - 77'c at full load
Core temp is showing 12'c idle - 69'c full load
Asrock extreme utility is showing 32'c idle - 80'c full load
Hardware ID is showing 33'c idle and 71'c full load.

Is this a sensor issue, am I safe using the PC, I've tried the stock cooler and an aftermarket cooler from SPIRE that's supposed to work with 130watt AMD cpu with no change to temps.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Does your case have adequate cooling? How many case fans? Are the cables inside even remotely neat and /or tied together? Are both side panels on? What's the temp of the room? Is the cooler mounted properly with some decent thermal paste?

Hi,

Yes, i have re applied the thermal solution twice which has had no effect - Both coolers i have used have had no effect on the temps.
The room i am in is a normal temperature (I am in the UK and November is pretty cold here anyway)

The case is a Coolermaster Storm Enforcer with three exhaust 120mm fans and one 200mm intake fan.
Motherboard temperature never goes above 29'c

its the CPU temps i cant figure out - I think its a sensor fault but im not 100% sure.

The cables are major tidied, the case has great cable routing.
