1) I know I don't have a 'k' version of the 4770, but somehow I just really want the z87. Or is this just plain stupid because I want to know I have a 'better' made board?
2) i5 4670 3.4ghz? Likewise, I just feel better knowing that I have a i7 (this is stupid). Should I switch to i5?
3) My chosen Corsair Vengeance RAM is compatible with my MOBO, words of assurance - anyone?

>>> If you any suggestions for improvement please let me know! Thanks!

4) My Case is actually the Thermaltake Versa 2, pcpartpicker.com didn't have it in the list. I'd choose Fractal Design if I could but I live in Hong Kong.

There is no point in i7 4770 if you are not into rendering ,design, multitasking or media works. i5 4670 is the sweet spot for gaming. You can keep the Z87 if you want in the future to buy unlocked processor, if not, go with B85 or H87. The RAM is ok, its compatible with the MB.

1.I wouldn't call it stupid. But do look around for H87 boards. If anything fancies you at the price of the Z87 board or if it's cheaper, grab that.Z87 boards are "better" made as they have to handle the heat produced from OCing.
2.The i5 would be better. An i7 would go largely wasted on games and general usage like yours
3.RAM is fine
4.If you do not intend on adding in another GPU,550-600W PSU would suffice

You can use the money saved from 1 and 2 to get a better GPU if you wish
