How old is the laptop? Is it under warranty? Was the laptop ever 'accidentally' dropped?
If the answers are 1) more then 4 years 2) no 3) yes : Save yourself all the trouble Black Friday sales are coming up, alot of new laptops are going to be put on discount either the weeks BEFORE BF to clear space or on BF and get a new laptop for $249 or so.
Only other solution is to disable your speakers (Orb>type Sound> Select under Control Panel Sound > click SPEAKERS and DISABLE) and use headphones/earbuds.
