Is it possible to set a maximum amount of ram for a program/game?

I have 8 Pro 64bit and I have battlefield 4, it seems the game has a memory leak, after half an hour into multiplayer it starts freezing constantly and impossible to play, after closing the game I notice over 80% of my 8GB ram is used and stuck and sense I never had this problem with BF3 or other games and never seen my system ever use more than 60%. I know this game has issues with crashing and other crap but could I allow it to use a max of like 3-4GB and not 6+?

  1. no, it'll use as much as it needs. how much of your ram is the game itself using. Windows will cache up to about 80% leaving only a bit free for new and uncached programs. it is very good at it, don't mess.
  2. I believe the game requires some patches to work better. You may have to wait it out for the next patch.
  3. Yea I was afraid that waiting for patches was my only option, thanks.

When its not freezing like right now it is 654 and within a minute it has rose to 752, now 10 mins later it is at 1.5GB and still rising, game crashed instead of lagging to hell.

I should have really asked what your system specifications are? (I guess not that it matters now that it appears to be a compat issue with BF4/WIN 8 64.

Here is some info. on BF4 memory leaks.
