is using a graphic card molex not recommended?

i want to know, when my PSU have only one PCIE connector and my graphic card uses 6pin connectors x2, i heard from some people that its not recommended to use a molex..is that true? and why?

You shouldn't use molex because it's less stable than a direct connection, but using a molex connection is better than no connection.
