i have two pc's... one that im using right now,and another one.. i have win7 installed, but when i put this hard disk with win7 on that pc,pc restarts when win7 boot animation starts..i know its because its different motherboards etc..but it used to work on asus p5w dh deluxe, and mobo that its crashing on is asus p5vd2..can i just install drivers for that mobo here and then try to boot?

Can try yes, and NO, it DOESN"T have to be an exact same model, I've done this 40 or more times, Win 7 is pretty good at recognizing the new hardware when a drive is moved and loading it's own drivers as default, once it's done - then add the actual drivers to the new mobos, when done with that delete all the old drivers from the old mobo and run a good registry cleaner (Wise has a free version)....in fact my sone just retired his backup rig a Q9650 on a P45 GB mobo to a 4770K/Asus Hero new build and Win7 did just fine, have even done AMD ot Intel and vice-versa...

Make sure you have a backup first and be prepared to reactivate Win
