I just bought a new BenQ XL2411T. I can't make it work at 120hz (or 144hz for that matter). I used to have a Samsung 2233rz which ran 120hz perfectly at 1680x1050.

The maximum resoluation I can run 120hz on for the BenQ is 1366x768. I have tried changing the settings in both Windows and NVIDIA Control Panel.

I have tried many different NVIDIA drivers (including all the new ones and beta ones too), same problem. The BenQ is connected to my GTX580 through a DVI Dual link cable. The GTX580 has 2x DVI Dual link ports, I have of course tried both. I have also tried a second DVI Dual link cable, same problem.

I have of course installed the BenQ drivers as well, first from windows update and later from the CD (same drivers, but had to try something).

I feel I'm running out of options and can't seem to think of anything else, so I'm hoping someone might know the solution to my problem or might be able to help me identify it.

I got a cable with the new monitor. I have tried this and the old one multiple times, neither works for the BenQ. Both works for the Samsung 2233rz.

I have found a solution to my problem. I'm not sure if I should have seen this coming.. I will share it here, in case someone else should ever encounter the same situation.

My new 120hz monitor was unable to run at 120hz because of a program called "NVIDIA Inspector". If you have this running, disable it.
I would like to thank everyone who read this post and bigpinkdragon286 for trying to help me.
