Hey guys, I tried to play Call of Duty Ghosts today (Sigh, I know) but it said I needed 6GB of RAM even though I know I have 8GB, then I noticed that only 4GB was usable out of the 8.
I did some investigating and concluded that it was something to do with hardware reserved RAM.

I tried the MSCONFIG option, didn’t work. Tried changing around my BIOS settings, didn't work. Tested both and windows booted fine with them individually, so the RAM is fine also tested all the slots, all fine. Ran memory diagnostic, came back all good. I’ve tried everything I have found on the internet and I can’t tell what’s wrong!
Here are my system specs from CPU-Z.

Here are some screenshots from Windows.

Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 Mobo

Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz 2X4 Kit.

Speaks for it`s self the board has on board video.
Where does it get its memory from.

The memory in the slots.

Have a check it is disabled in the bios of the motherboard.
This will be the hardware reserved bit.
Graphic Integrated ATI Radeon™ HD 3000 GPU

You may also have an option in the bios to select how much of the system memory is used by the on board graphics chip.

Turn it off if you can or limit the amount of memory allocated to it via the bios.
