is my cpu holding me back

i have a evga gtx 660ti sc its oc 75mhz on core and 300mhz on mem and my cpu is a i5 750 yes first gen i5 anyways im gonna upgrade one and i wanna know witch will actually improve my fps more and sli isnt an option my mb doesnt support it. thanks for any suggestions.

I honestly think you should try and upgrade to an i5-2500k as your CPU is definitely holding you back.

If you want to upgrade one or the other now. I think it would be worthwhile upgrade the CPU now and Haswell's 1150 socket will be used by the Broadwell when it comes out next year. While the GPUs will be getting cheaper so you'll be able to get even better performance for the money in the future if you wait. Your currernt VGA card isn't that old and should let you get good game play in the mean time.

Yes Ice it might be best if he waits on upgrading until he has more money in is upgrade fund, so he can do it right. I don't upgrade that often but when I go I want to get the best I can so I'm happy with my computer and I don't need to upgrade it for a long time.
