Geforce GTX 770 glowing red

Hey guys,

I just finished installed my new graphics card (PNY GeForce GTX 770) and it booted up fine and got to windows and installed the drivers and then restarted however now when I boot my computer up I get a no signal for both HDMI and DVI. I noticed my card now has a red glow inside it I don't know if that is for show or something is wrong. Can anyone help me? I've installed cards before and never have had a problem.

The only thing I didn't use that they gave me was the VGA to DVI converter (I don't need it) and the power cables because they were too short and couldn't reach the card.

EDIT: I think it might be my power supply? The card requires a minimum of 600W and my PSU is exactly 600W, I asked these forums before I ordered if it was fine and if it'd work and they said yes so I thought it'd be good to go.

Are you sure the card is plugged in correctly into your computer? (including the PSU)

If it has a non-intended red glow, that means something is critically failing. In other words, something's getting REALLY flipping hot. Time to request an RMA

I can't think of any component that would be able to produce that amount of glow before it popped/smoked straight up. Not to mention, the PSU's over-current protection would have theoretically kicked in before this stage if it is working properly. This must be a LED indicating a fault.

I don't believe there any intentional light sources in the card. Therefore I am afraid to conclude that the red glow coming from it may be thermally related.
Are the fans spinning? You may have cooked it to a little past well-done.
600w is sufficient for the card.

Nothing is hot, nothing is popping smoke, the reason I think it's the PSU is because my keyboard and mouse only light up when I click or type, usually they are on 100% of the time.

Should I have used the power cables they gave me? I'm using my the ones I had for my previous gfx

Dram_LED turns red when I turn my pc on as well as my CPU_LED for a split second

That picture of the red light is according the sabertooth manual .. the VGA LED. It's on page 1-6 in your user guide.

I would guess there is an issue with the graphics card.

I actually had an issue where I used a faulty graphics card and had the same red light turn on.

I don't if you read it but I'm reading and it says compatible with PCI 2.0 whereas my card is PCI 3.0 x16 so that's the problem?

PCIE 3.0 cards are always backwards compatabile with a PCIE 2.0 slot for future reference.

770 is a very new gpu...your mobo probably doesn't support 770...update bios

The system should be able to post regardless of what video card is in the system as long as it is functional.

How do I update the bios? Drivers on the site I already have? I'll put in my old gfx to do it but how do i do it?

update bios because it fixes compatibility issues...your mobo is 2 years old and it needs updating...bios update is a risky task..an average person like you might mess it up...get some technician or a computer course friend...

Best way to update the bios on your Sabertooth is to go to the ASUS website , download and save the latest bios to your computer.
Use the Asus update utility and update the bios via file, follow the prompts and you have updated the bios.

I just downloaded the .ROM from the drivers page, EZ flashed it in the BIOS UEFI and it seems to be working?
