After McAfee ran a security check today it asked me to quarantine 2 things in order to protect my computer. I did so. And now my computer shows i have an internet connection but refuses to access the internet. Internet explorer opens then says it has stopped working, "looks" for a solution, and closes. Firefox simply acts like the computer is not connected. This happens for both wired and wifi connections. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

i don't use McAfee but their should be a tab or button that lists quarantine those files will show up before you go on with this disable real time protection if it supports it so when the files are released they don't get put back in the quarantine after you done that go to the quarantine tab/button click on the files that are for the wireless files and click a button that says "restore" or something and restore the files and make sure to note the file location and copy it and their should be a tab for ignore list and add that directory to the list.

hope this helps - xXDahChubChubXx

I followed these steps and the quarantine list is empty and the real time protection was set to turn back on in 15 minutes. Both of my browsers still act exactly the same.

either use other computers that you have got or borrow from a friend
