I surrently have the Cooler Master H101 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103075) and am getting an idle temp. of about 60 degrees C. I wanted to know weather this would be a good upgrade: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103075

I an not planning on overclocking, but i will be playing games at max settings and i currently get about 70-90 degrees C.

This is pretty much my current rig: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Worm29/saved/1NE2

My price range is about $55

Those temperatures are way too high for even a stock cooler (the cooler you have should do much better). Most likely your cooler is not seated on your CPU correctly. I would try re-seating the cooler and reapplying thermal paste (after wiping the old stuff off completely), making sure to apply the correct amount and that it spreads properly when you sit the cooler down on the heat spreader.

I found that my CPU cooler was on backwards so it was blowing against the flow, and i think i used a bit to much thermal paste (i used the whole tube that came with it) so i wiped some off, but I get about 50°c. Is that normal for my setup? Would water cooling help me?
