How do you set Nvidia fan speeds at 100% as a default?

Im running a 550ti that runs at 45% fan speed by default and never changes. this sometimes causes my gpu to crash when i game, making the screen flickers violently with random colors. how do I change it so that the fans run at 100% by default when windows starts up?

MSI Afterburner is the best program to use. It lets you OC if you want and you can manually set your fan speeds as well.

Disable the "auto fan speed" and slide up the cursor to the maximum speed.

and to make it do that by default you can set the fan to 100%, leave it at stock clocks and set afterburner to open when windows is started

i know you can do it manually, but does that make it so 100% fan speed is default when windows starts up? the whole point is i sometimes forget to set it to 100% when i restart my computer, so id like it to be default when windows starts up

You either set it manually to a set speed, or you let the fan profile decide. If you set it manually it stays that way until you change things (may reset with a driver update).

I believe the card itself stores the fan speed profile so any change you make should be independent of Windows.

yes if you set one of the afterburner profiles to 100% and save it. Then go into settings and have it start afterburner on start up. This will apply the profile and instantly kick the fans to 100% once windows loads
