Adding unallocated space to primary partition

Windows XP will not resize or extend partitions to adjoining partitions or unallocated disk space... you have to use third party tools to do it... try Active Partition Manager 1.3 this edition is portable.. it apparently installs but it's only the standalone file, a log file and a settings file.
