Hello guys, awesome work on the forum, have been an avid reader, but first time poster!

So, to cut to the chase I would like to extend my 4 x NVIDIA 570 GTX so I can get 'em out of the case to properly cool them, and I was exploring the option of PCI riser cables. The main question is: Do they affect performance and if yes, up to what length is it acceptable for GPGPU purposes? On top of that, prices vary from 5 to 50 $, any specifications I should look out for before purchasing 4 of them? Thanks a lot!!

PS: I have invested lots of money in those 4 GPUS, so finding a proper cooling solution with zero impact on performance is my number one priority. Thanks a lot for your help!

PS2: I am attaching pictures of my case so you can see that there is not enough space between the GPUs for proper air circulation!

I can see your problem.

There is about no gap at all between the four cards.
They must get very toasty when in use, Not to mention when cards are that close it impacts on how the fans work pushing air.

The price will be down to the length, or quality of them.
As with all types of cable the longer it is the more resistance is created.
So signal quality degrades.

The other factor is electromagnetic interference.

Do you intend to create a box that will hold the four cards, providing good spacing.

Open frame i would say.

Just a thought.
