Folks, I´m getting a GPU GIGABYTE GTX770 this Friday and was wondering if I´ll have to change something from my current PC build to use it. I have an asus-p8h61-le-br / I5 2400 3,10GHz / 8gb / PSU Corsair CX500 and would like to confirm if PCIe 2.0 16x BUS and 500w (CX500) would be able to handle the new GPU. Thanks in advance!

The minimum power requirement for the GTX770 is a 600 Watt or Greater PSU. You have a good psu but don't think you could stretch it to power the 770, I would suggest you upgrade the PSU or you may have some problems.

Would you recommend Corsair 600w Builder Series Cx600?

Better to get the TX650 so you have some headroom for other components but the 600 Watt should work fine tho

Oh I see, thanks a lot. I´ll get the PSU upgraded like you said. Regarding the PCIe BUS, would using 2.0 16x be a problem seeing that GTX700 asks for 3.0 instead? Since you didn´t mention I´d assume it doesnt but just to be sure you know.

There is no problem using the 2.0 16X slot as they are backward compatible, you won't notice a difference really.
