is it possible to configure two different DSL line on single router to avoid downtime whenever one line down. when one dsl down then office network automatically switch to another line.

Solution
No you need a special router that actually has the ability to run 2 wan ports. There are a number on the market. I do not know of any that has 2 DSL ports though. You I guess could search for one.. the key feature to load for is DUAL WAN.
Mostly the answer is no. I am not sure if they make routers with 2 DSL lines but you can get past that issue using a bridge/modem for the DSL and hooking it to a special router.

There are a number of dual wan routers you can find but they can only partially do what you want. You have 2 issues that are hard to resolve. First most the time when a connection goes down it electrically appears up it just does not pass any data. So you get into the complexity of what is considered "down" and how do you detect it. The only true way is to run a routing protocol with the ISP. Some routers attempt to use ping. The vast majority of these routers can not actually detect the outage so they don't switch over. The second major issue you will find is even if they do switch over your external facing IP also changes. This means every active session goes down, you must re log into all the sites and it completely destroys any ability to do things like port mapping to internal server successfully. Of course this is solved by large companies by using a routing protocol with the ISP and having addition IP blocks assigned that are then routed over the connections.

So the answer is it is not a easy or inexpensive thing to accomplish.

Thanks bill,
I have Dlink 2730u router so can we configure two isp on this router,
and "every active session goes down" does not matter, users will do reopen all sites again.
