Hi there, i was looking at the asus z87 pro for my new build but then found the gryphon z87 plus a i7 4770k for a better deal.

Im planing on getting two r9 280x toxic's

So will the gpu's fit and will the mobo support crossfire, iv looked around for this info myself but cant find it.

The form is micro atx, will this be a problem?

I know that it dose not have wifi but other than that, is there much of a difference between it and the pro?

Dose it have an inbuilt sound card? If so I may still get a after market one and Iv read that one wont fit if I have a Noctua NH-D14 cpu fan, is this true?

Thanks for your time! :)

Yes, it has 2 PCI-E 3.0 lanes so you could use Crossfire or SLI on it. You'd just need to make sure your case supports mATX motherboards. The Gryphon has inbuilt sound, it's very very rare to see a motherboard without sound built in. The only thing the D14 would restrict would be RAM with tall heatspreaders, you'd be able to fit the sound card in the PCI slot in between the 2 R9 280X's.

Hope this helps.

I think there is but not sure if you could fit anything in it, as one of the cards mite cover it, depending how wide you're card it, the ones talked about here are 2.5 slots wide... I think.

I did not end up buying this card tho, and have yet to order any parts as Im waiting for the non ref r9 290's to come out.
