Internet connection to all computers, tv's and wireless routers using a Switch

So i have a friend who has 3 storey building which has multiple TV's, Computers and Wireless Routers at every level. Now what he is looking into is having a single internet connection for all these devices. How do i use a switch to connect to all devices? He is getting a 16port Switch and he has the INPUT internet connection at a single point which he plans to broadcast to his entire building using a Switch. How do i connect all devices?

p.s:- Sorry, if the text is confusing

I'm not an expert at wireless, but I'd say since he already has a wireless router on each level, why not just use one router as the internet gateway and use the other two routers as AP's (access points) then you won't need a switch unless you have some devices that don't have wireless built in. If he uses two of the routers as AP's, he should still be able to use the wired portion of those routers to connect to devices requiring a hard line.

Actually he has laid all the cables in such a way that he cannot use his wireless router as internet gateway. He has to use his Router as a Wifi device only. He needs to use his Switch to provide internet connections to all his Smart TV's, PC's and Routers.

The thing i did not understand in a Switch is, how do i give Internet input to it which will broadcast to all other devices? A router has basically a INPUT ports but a Switch has only OUTPUT ports. Now how do i share internet via Switch?

The switch needs connected to the gateway router either via a hard line or wireless in order for devices on that switch to be able to access the internet.

The map can be several ways. it can be

Internet -> router -> switch -> devices

or

internet -> router -> AP (access point) -> switch -> devices.

I don't know why you have internet listed twice in your map.

To connect a switch to a router, just use an ethernet cable plugged into one of the LAN ports of the router to one of the ports on the switch.

1 port is usually labelled as WAN or input at the front if not any port will do.
