I start downloading my games so as I sleep they download and to school. I set it so the screen dims and the display turns of but the computers go sleep. When I would try to turn the display on by hitting a key or moving the mouse it fails to do so. At first I thought the commands were not going through and the screen was just frozen but then I noticed that the leds for the locks (caps etc.) wouldn't respond to me pressing the keys. I tried shutting the laptop and waiting for it to hibernate or go to sleep but it doesn't it stays in its active state. The only way to recover form this is to manually shut the laptop down (holding power button) or remove the battery. After I restarted it and looked at the download it apparently froze about 3 to 4 hours after being Idle. The next night I left the screen on and I lowered the brightness. Woke up got dressed and long behold the screen and keys were frozen. Tried moving the mouse and didn't see it move across the desktop and the keys window button yielded no response. (Sorry if this is getting long). I then restarted it and my wireless connections were completely gone (this has happened before also) I then did what I normally due to get this to stop happening and went into device manager uninstalled the wireless card driver and scanned for hardware changes but it didn't work. I then shut down the computer and again after booting wireless connections are still gone. Restarted it once more (about to miss the bus at this point) and got the windows failed to start. I have yet to run the recovery program. Can anyone help me figure out why the system freezes and after shutting down after the freeze why adapter stops picking up networks wireless. It’s still working properly but doesn't pick up anything.
My laptop is a sager np8255 with a gtx 770m gpu and I74000 series cpu. Windows 7 home premium
Thank you for the help

Ran a system restore and got it running again with wireless connections running. Still don't know why the system freezes and why shutting down the laptop causes the adapter to not pick up wireless networks

Did you chech those settings?

Make sure that you select 'Never' put the computer to sleep in the power option.

Make sure that the Power Management setting on the Network Adater is un-checked where it says 'let the computer put this device to sleep'.

Does the machine only freeze during long downloads?

Does it do it while on-line gaming?

Does it do it at a particular time? Or after a particular length of time?
