Hello guys. Building a build for Battelfield 4. I will play on 5760x1080p, and I was wondering if I should buy gtx 780 ti or R9 290 crossfire.

More about : gtx 780 290 crossfire

The 780 Ti will probably be a bit better than the 290s, but the 290x will still be the best.

R9 290 crossfire would be faster

The Crossfire configuration will have significantly more raw performance (it's like comparing a GTX 780 Ti to two GTX 780s in SLI). At the cost of more power consumption and potentially more noise, plus the general drawbacks of Crossfire.

780ti would be better , the 290's run hot and loud , imagine having two of them in your case?

Just wait for non-reference coolers to arrive, problem solved.

A single 780 Ti will have little to no chance of beating a 290 Crossfire setup.

Single Card the 780 Ti will probably beat the 290, but will it beat a 290X?

It appears I misunderstood his original question. 290s in crossfire should indeed beat a 780 Ti, but single card the 780 Ti will probably outperform.

"In today’s games, and at resolutions as high as 3840x2160, 780 Ti’s 3 GB should be sufficient. However, it’s already possible to punch above that in Battlefield 4 using three 2560x1440 monitors."

Guys, I'am gonna buy CM storm stryker or R4 blackpearl silence case. I'am not gonna hear the graphic cards that much. I'am using headset with really high volume btw :)

Anyway, since I'am gonna play BF4 on ultra 5760x1080p I want highest FPS as possible. 50-60+

Then the R9 290 Crossfire will give superior performance. I would still recommend waiting for non-reference models if you can though.

How long time do I need to wait? Do you how tired I'am of waiting? I tried BF4 to my friend, and it was amazing! And that was on low :)

No it hasn't.. The 290X and 780 TI are very close and essentially swap blows.. This will probably not be the case when the non reference cooled 290X shows up and the inconsistent behavior we are seeing will disappear. 290X in Crossfire also pretty much obliterates any 780 in SLI so it's really the no brainer choice for 4K gaming. You also have to keep in mind that the 290X is also about $150 dollars less expensive on average.

my 2 GTX 780s in sli are really bad so i would go amd if they get 99% usage on both cards. my 780s only got to 50-60% usage and would drop below 60 frames
