Memory, Motherboard or Bios issue?

New Build - Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD3H motherboard, Core I5 4670k, G.Skill Ripjaws F3-12800CL9D- DDR3-1600 PC3-12800 - 4 GB x2 modules.

Computer would not post, it would boot up and then restart, added speaker and it beeps continuously until the reboot. On a whim, I took out one stick of ram and system posted. Basically, the system will boot with either stick of ram, but will not boot with both in any of the channels. Any suggestions?

If the computer will post with either stick of ram then it seems like the ram is ok and there could be an issue with the ram slots. If the motherboard is still under the 30 days from purchase then you may want to contact the retailer and get a replacement, Otherwise you may have to contact the manufacturer tech support to get an RMA .
Both sticks in any combination of slots and not working sure sounds like a board problem.

Then there's this which I copied from the specifications of the ram that you have.

Compatible with Intel LGA1155/LGA1156 and AMD AM3/Llano/AM3+ platforms
Intel XMP support for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Generation Intel Core Processors

You have a 4th generation processor and a 1150 socket motherboard so that ram may not be...
