Can my motherboard support USB 3.0

Hello.

I have an ASUS P7P55D motherboard and I want to get usb 3.0.In Asus site it says that the motherboard doesn't have a 3.0 all the hubs are 2.0.Can I simply buy a PCI Express USB 3.0 card and put it on?Will it support it?

My computer case is Thermaltake Armor 60.It says that is has a usb 3.0 in the front.That means that if I connect the one end in my mobo(which can support only 2.0) and the other end in an external hard disk with usb 3.0 technology I will have 2.0 or 3.0 speed?
