I recently bought a cm storm stryker fan and it have a 200mm top fan installed (i think its exhausting the air out) and its with a dust filter.

Why does it have a dust filter if its an exhausting fan ?

Should i remove it for better top exhausting air flow ?

It won't give you any better airflow, but it will keep you fan from clogging up in the future. Check your fan to make sure it is exhausting (there's usually an arrow somewhere along the side), if it isn't you should flip it around.

It is exhausting. It was already installed so im pretty sure its exhausting , also by putting my hand a few cm's on it , i can feel the warm air while gaming coming out. It has a fan dust filter , but i heard you can get better airflow by removing it. Whats the use of a dust filter for an exhaust fan ? No dust is going to go in because its not intaking air.Am i right ?

My 2 intake bottom fans (120mm each) got a dust filter too. The only fans that do not have dust filters are my exhaust rear fan and my intake 2 (120mm) side fans. So should i remove dust filter from the top fan and leave my dust filter at the bottoms fans there ?
