Hi guys,
I'm thinking of moving to PC gaming instead of console, but seeing how a new computer system for gaming is several hundred(s) of pounds, i thought i would just upgrade my laptop.

My Laptop is a Lenovo G580, I'm not sure if i need to have any specific parts to my laptop or if any parts will do. If anyone has done an upgrade the same model and knows of any components that i can use for an upgrade, then i'd hugely appreciate any help you can give.

Games-wise i'm thinking of MMO (World of Warcraft and the like...) and games like COD/BF/Borderlands. Im an IT student so i know how to perform upgrades and i know the technical side, but Tom's Hardware has a huge audience, so i though't i'd try my luck on here :)

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Typically laptop CPU and GPU are not upgrade since they are integrated on the mobo. You need to replace entire mobo that will fit the laptop case which is not an easy task.

I feared as much. I'll upgrade my home computer instead then, that should be an easy enough task.
Thank you for the assistance :)
