I have a setup with 2 660s in SLI, I was wondering if adding an 8800GT that I just happen to have laying around would be worth it and set it to just handle the Nvidia Physx?

are you playing a lot of games with physx that are struggling to have playable frame rates? I had a setup with 2 660s at one point and i never had frame rate issues in border lands 2 with physx effects turned up on high. If you are having issues with this you can try it, but i've heard a lot of people say that adding a slow (relative to their primary gpus) card for physx actually hurt their performance. I dont think it'd be worth spending extra money on a new gpu, but whether or not its worth it to you is completely your decision.

Oh, I don't plan on spending any money, I just have a few cards at my disposal to use if I need to. I don't have issues most of the time, but I was playing FFXIV:ARR and was doing something where a TON of people were casting skills. It caused a bit of a lag issue. This is a rare instance, but when it does happen I'd rather not have it lag, that's the only reason. Most of the time I'm at 60+ FPS, but during that moment i was at around 25 with a low of 15. Hardly playable. That's the only reason I was considering it. So, thank you for the advice, that's all I really needed to know, basically I'd have to have at least another 660 just to make it worth it, and since I don't, I just won't worry about it.

Many Thanks Friend! :)
