Hi, I currently have one gtx 660 SC. I'm currently a highschool kid saving for school so I'm not loaded but i want better performance in bf4. I was wondering if any of you ran sli 660's and could tell me how the game scales and what fps your getting. thanks

The problem would be Vram, since Vram doesn't stack and you are running with a 200bit memory bus. Battlefield 4 is know for using lots of Vram. So if your current GPU hits a Vram ceiling then a 2nd card would be pointless. What your Budget?

budget is like 250ish... I don't have alot atm thats why I was thinking sli would work pretty well. The rest of my system is asrock z77 extreme 4 i7 3770k @ 4.2 24gb 1600 mhz ram OCZ zt series 750 watt

The rest of your system is excellent, if you can deal with 30 frames a second, then it should be fine and I would just save up.
The general rule of thumb is to buy the best GPU you could at the time and SLI later.
That rule can only apply for a year or 2 after you have purchased the card, the issue is that yours was never that high end to begin with.

In my view a SLI config will have a Vram and bus bottleneck in future titles. Therefore why not wait for another year and make do with 30 frames or lower settings for the time being. Also what is your PSU?

this was my first pc so I didn't know all that much about components and what not. Thats why i was thinking i could sli my 660's just to get better frames now then sell them next year when the 800 series cards come out and buy a flagship. I'm planning on putting away money from my job (woop best buy hired me ;) ). so the 660 would really just carry me over until the flagship 800 series comes out and id buy an 870 or 880. and my psu is an ocz zt series 750 watt 80+ bronze

Congratulations on your job
This SLI issue becomes tricky, it often comes down to view points. SLI 660 WILL enhance performance, but they will not be able to scale past a certain point because of Vram bottlenecks. So you wont get 90% scaling on newer games. Most games (especially older ones) wont hit this Vram threshold, but newer ones will.
To overcome this, you can just decrease some settings that will effect Vram.

In my personal view, with the slow innovation of CPU's, your system will last quite a long time. With that said I would just use the GTX 660 and after a year or so(up to you), jump to a flagship card. After another year SLI/crossfire that card.

Its totally up to you. People can only give you advise.

Depending on how long you wait, the R9 290 is already out. Its worth having a look into, but if you have the money the time the 800 series is released the R9 will be outperformed.

Also please choose a solution if you are satisfied, it puts the thread to bed.
