Hey guys!

So for the past couple of weeks I've been trying to compile a list of parts for my first budget AMD gaming build. I have a vague idea of what I want and have made a almost complete list of the parts that i will need. But, since this is my first build I just need some peace of mind from somebody that this should, in theory, work!

Here are the parts that I have found:

Zalman Z11 Plus Midi Tower Case : http://www.amazon.co.uk/Zalman-Z11-Plus-Installation-Anti-Vibration/dp/B007C008L2/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=1V496TEUO7Q4I&coliid=I16SZUR5WNRQRJ

Asus M5A97 R2.0 Motherboard : http://www.amazon.co.uk/M5A97-R2-0-Motherboard-PCI-Express-Flashback/dp/B008RPYB0U/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=1V496TEUO7Q4I&coliid=I2JRBN4E8VGPPZ

AMD FX6300 Black Edition: http://www.amazon.co.uk/AMD-FX6300-Edition-4-1GHz-Socket/dp/B009O7YORK/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=1V496TEUO7Q4I&coliid=I2OMYDAZIVC3AC

Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600 Mhz: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9-Vengeance-Performance-Desktop/dp/B004CRSM4I/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=1V496TEUO7Q4I&coliid=I1Y2OOXDX3BI47

Western Digital 1TB hard drive: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Western-Digital-internal-Hard-Drive/dp/B0088PUEPK/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pd_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=1V496TEUO7Q4I&coliid=I19TRJ24QUEFMK

Asus GeForce GTX 660 DirectCU II OC Nvidia Graphics Card: http://www.amazon.co.uk/GeForce-DirectCU-Graphics-DisplayPort-Surround/dp/B0098VKIRC/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=1V496TEUO7Q4I&coliid=I23G4IHL17L0ZZ

Operating system will be windows 7 home premium 64 bit.

So my questions are:

What power supply will need to power this?
Is everything compatible?
How will this run games? (over-clocking will happen I'm sure!)

Thankyou for reading, and any answers will be greatly appreciated! :)

(By the way, I have a little over £500 to spend)

Thats great, thanks for clearing that up!

Windows 8 isn't that rubbish though, it can run most games and I don't see why there is a lot of hate for it...

It is down to view (mostly) I can tell he hates it, so do I. I hate the new interface e.g. I have a friend who has issue with it all the time, punk buster on COD4 as an example.

Oh... The issue where you disconnect... Has your friend tried running it under compatibility mode?

We have never talked about it in detail, but the interface is enough to deter me anyway.
