Send audio via hdmi and video via dvi

Hi,

I've got my computer hooked up to an AV receiver which is currently doing both video and audio.

What I'd really like to do though is have an HDMI cable going to the receiver to control audio, and a DVI direct to my monitor for video.

This is because the receiver doesn't support the same refresh rate my monitor does. Is this possible?

I have 2xnvidia gtx 670s for video and audio.

Your better off running the DVI straight to the monitor and piping your audio from your PC sound device to your receiver via the analog outputs. It isn't as elegant but neither is trying to extract the audio from the video signal in an HDMI cable. There may be a gadget that does this.... I just haven't looked into it very much.
