hey guys I came here because of the great community. I have a question about a gpu and need some help with something I never tried. I want to buy a r9 280x toxic but I want to use PhysX because of the some of the games I play now and some that will be coming out soon. So my question is, would a 550ti be enough as a dedicated advanced PhysX card and how would I go about doing it. Keep in mind that I only play at 1080p and no higher and also I will not just get a NVidia card either because I am interested the mantle idea.

thanks: jon

p.s. no fanboys please

ah ok thanks a lot bud, Linus knows his stuff. Although I do like PhysX and what it does with the emersion of games; however, I do not think it's worth the bottleneck. I will be sticking with my r9 280x toxic purchase to see if mantle provides a decent margin for bf4 and other future games it may be compatible with. So thanks again with the reply.
