Hi there
I'm about to build my own computer, but I ran into trouble when I was checking out my motherboard. I am going to get an i7 4770K cooled by a Coolmaster Hyper 212 Evo. I am hoping to overclock this eventually to 4-4.5ghz. I am also going to get a Gigabyte GTX770 along with 16gb of 1600mhz ram. The motherboard I originally went with was the Asus Z87-C, since it seemed pretty good for the price. However, looking at some online reviews told me that apparently it is not a very good motherboard after all, especially to overclock with. I have found some alternatives, but I'm not sure which one to go with.

Original:
Asus Z87-C - $145

Alternatives:
Asus Z87-A - $210
AsRock Z87-PRO4 - $139
AsRock Z87-EXTREME4 - $184
MSI Z-87 G45 - $195

I am looking for the best price/performance ratio, and I am happy to pay a bit more if the performance if significantly better. So if anyone could help with this, it'd be great!

Oh, since I live in Australia, I am buying all my parts from http://www.umart.com.au/newindex2.phtml?bid=2 if that helps with price comparisons.
Thanks for your help!

This will answer your question. Also remember that the CPU itself is usually the bottleneck for how far you can OC, not the board (again usually). That said, here is a review done on that board. They achieved a 4.7Ghz OC with an I7-3770k. For this price??? Wow.

Can't argue with the price/performance of the Pro4 by ASRock, it also has good reviews. Of course I love Asus boards for the extras, but I think it's a hard deal to pass up with prices as insane as they are for some countries.

yeah the PRO4 is $50 less, but would you still be able to get a decent overclock with the asrock compared to the asus?
