My pc is:

OS: Windows 7 64-bit
CPU: AMD FX 8150 3.6GHz 8 core.
GPU: Zotac GTX 570 1280 GB gddr5.
RAM: G.Skill 4GB DDR3 1600Mhz Ripjaws Edition CL9-9-9-24.
PSU: Corsair CX600, 600W +80W additional.
Motherboard: ASRock 990FX Extreme3.

When I play bf4 I have like 45-55 fps on high but every 2-4 seconds I have huge fps drops for 2 fps and ram usage at 3.75GB, and this fps drop don't stop even when I stop the game by entering the menu of the game, or even if I'm watching the sky... fps still dropping massively to 2.

So should I buy one more 4GB slot of ram or is it the GPU that holds me back ??.

Having 4GB of RAM is holding you back enough you should add another 4GB no matter what. Just being able to run in dual channel will add 4%-7% to your overall system performance and I have no doubt in any newer game you are running out of RAM so you will get both the slight speed boost provided by dual channel and fix the maxing out issue. Make sure you add an identical stick to what you have.

The GTX 570 is getting a bit dated but it's more powerful than my GTX 460 1GB and I can max almost any pre 2013 game with a few exceptions like Metro 2033. Even then I can still play on higher settings. I would imagine a GTX 570 would do BF4 pretty easily on high settings. Maybe not maxed but high.

Well, a 4GB ram stick won't set you back as much as a new video card. Plus, if you're going to get a new video card it should be a good one. I have the same processor, but I got a really good video card, the ati radeon hd 7970 and it plays all the games on ultra with 50+ fps. But, the card cost me just as much as the board and processor. If you're just looking to fix the problem, then try a ram stick. You really need 8GB nowadays anyway...
