I dont really like my current mouse. It's a Logictech M100. nothin special, came with the computer, but i would like to know what a good mouse (mostly for gaming) would be good. Now, im not going to spend like 50 bucks on a freaking mouse. Just something that is like cheap, has a nice fit, button(s) on the side that i can assign to buttons in-game, and finally a good dpi for gaming. I don't know much about gaming, ive heard that 1600-1800 is a good place to stay if you don't know what you're doing but i'd like to hear from you guys.

Solution
$50 is around the price for getting a good mouse. Personally, I fell in love with the SteelSeries Sensei RAW. Comfortable, high DPI and all the buttons are easy to press. Does range around $45 though. Logitech seem to be the cheap but good mice around the market. Look around Amazon, you might find something you like!

anywhere from 800-1800 is what i would consider typical. honestly your exact settings will be dependant on your playstyle. some people use as low as 400 and some as high as 3000+. personally i've always liked to use about 800-1200 and adjust the windows mouse speed so that my cursor moves fine in windows then go in game and adjust the sensitivity so that it works well there too.

you may want to disable mouse acceleration (enhance pointer precision option in windows).

$50 is what you are going to pay for a major brand gaming mouse sorry to say. you can beat the price on ebay or amazon or just wait for a good sale (black friday, cyber monday).

i like the razer deathadder but there are also other good gaming mice from corsair, logitech and roccat to name a few.

This, 1200 DPI is good enough for me. 3600 DPI is too fast.
