I've been using mini tool on an sata drive. But I was not aware thar mini tool was installed on C drive. The program said that I must restart the pc to finish the job, but when I restart the machine freeze directly. I can only enter the bios when I unplug the hd.
With hd unplug I can also start from cdrom
I have try the cd mini tool recovery (with hd unplug) but I get the error ''this version does not support windows server'' en when I click OK the pc restart

wel, I can't boot at all
The only thing I can do it's to start from cdrom when the harddisk is unplug
But naturly when I come so far there is no HD to write to
Strange is that when the HD is plug on and I use DEL very quickly I can see the post bios whith some information, so I can see that the HD is reconize, but it does not go any further and I can't enter the bios either

BTW, thank you for your reaction
The problem comes definitly from the Mini Tool program
I wanted to resize partition C
I believe there is some damage cause to the HD
Maybe the MBR I don't know
The thing is that the pc will start only without the HD
I will try tomorow to put an other HD (I have an other pc with sata drive on it)

If it's a problem with your storage, then yes, you're probably gonna have to get another HDD or SSD and reinstall windows. Do you know how the HD got damaged? If it isn't mounted for any reason, it might not be able to rotate correctly, therefore failure to read. Make sure it has the capabilities to run correctly

The pc was runing okay while I was working with Mini Tool
I didn't touch the harddisk
But when the program asked me to restart the pc was not able to boot anymore
Then I red on the internet try to unplug one cable on the HDD en I did, that's all

I know now that Mini Tool can cause damage when it's installed on the C drive, (wish I knew that before)
But it's too bad that the disk recovery of the same program does not work, it could have sold my problem

I have finally found the solution to my problem, and I hope this can help someone else
It have cost me the night, surfing and searching, and suddenly I saw the light
I could enter the bios when the HDD was unplug, so I red somewhere that a good thing to try was to put LBA mode from auto to unable.
I deed and O wonder... I was getting somewhere !
After that I could acces cdrom WITHOUT to unplug my HDD
So, from there I could use Windows repair from the cd and look for any fout
On the end I had to enter dos mode and write the ''Bootrec /Fixboot'' command
Then I started again and put back LBA on auto
Wat I also did was to put the HDD as the first start device instead of cdrom, (got to put it back before something else happens)
The computer start now normally
