Hey, just got my new build all set up and running, except I have no sound. I didn't buy a sound card because i assumed all motherboards had integrated ones (I also forgot :p)

I'm using the GIGABYTE B75M-D3H board, does this not have a sound card in it?

I'm thinking it might not, because it also makes no beeps although it boots and everything works perfectly on it (i'm using it to write this now)

Thanks for any help!

Ahh okay, when i plug my headphones into the back green slot and i get audio, thanks :p I was trying to plug it into the front of the case slot..

Also when i went onto skype it said something about not being able to locate sound card or something along those lines... which made me think i might not have one.

I have a semi-related question.

I have an AUX cable, if I plug the AUX into the back green slot, and then the other into my home speakers, can I then use them as computer speakers? Because I know when I plug my phone into the speakers using the AUX, all the sounds from my phone go through the speakers... So i'm thinking it'd be the same with my computer?

I'm only asking first because its going to be quite a bit of work to unhook and set it all up again if it doesnt work... lol

No. Regular home speakers need some sort of amplifier.
Computer speakers have that built in.

Computer audio, whether integrated or sound card, will not power regular speakers.

Right. I was just going off his statement: "and then the other into my home speakers".
Looks like he's got it running.
