AMD R9 270X with 4 GB GDDR5?

There are plenty of the AMD R9 270X with 2 GB GDDR5 available, but I'm looking for the 4GB version. According to this press release, it should be out there, but I'm not seeing it anywhere:

Are they just holding out on the 4GB version? Any idea when I can get my hands on it?

  1. Why do you need a 4GB card in the first place?

Hey thanks for finding that. I'll see if I can get it anywhere here. I'm interested because it's double the memory for only $30 more. I figure it's not a bad idea, considering that many games recommend more than 2 GB VRAM. Battlefield 4 is one example.

UPDATE: I was looking a bit closer at the packaging of the card in the link you sent. If you look closely at the bottom, you can see it says 2 GB memory, so either they are showing the wrong image, or the description is wrong. Judging by how I can't find it anywhere, I'm guessing the latter.
  4. They use the same picture but the product is different.
