Well yea, i'd say intel but first of all..

Here is my build:

CPU: Intel Pentium G2020 2.9GHz Dual-Core Processor ($59.98 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: MSI Z77MA-G45 Micro ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($86.98 @ SuperBiiz)
Memory: Corsair XMS3 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR3-1333 Memory ($49.99 @ Microcenter)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 500GB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($58.56 @ Amazon)

Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost 1GB Video Card (2-Way SLI) ($139.99 @ Amazon)
Case: Cougar Spike MicroATX Mini Tower Case ($34.99 @ Amazon)
Power Supply: Zalman 600W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($74.99 @ Mwave)

(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)
(Generated by PCPartPicker 2013-11-08 02:07 EST-0500)

The 2 GTX 650 ti boosts are just optional. So you can leave them as is.
So my question is, Should I go A8 5600k + MSI A75M p33 or Intel Pentium G2020 + MSI Z77MA-G45. My build is strongly Micro ATX only :)  Thanks.

I would go with neither. The processor is too weak and it will bottleneck the SLI 650 ti boost.
At this price point, going with a dual-gpu set-up is not worth it.

Better processor.
Aftermarket cpu cooler for overclocking.
The motherboard isn't as high quality as I would prefer, but this is the best mATX AM3+ board.
Doubled the RAM.
Much better quality case and psu.
Opted for a single gpu set-up. The 7870 XT is a weakened version of the 7950 at a much cheaper price.

It's true that it is overkill. It's also true that semi-modular psus are helpful for cable management.
By the way, OP asked for mATX.

The only reason the OP wants a mATX board is to use a mATX case....
If the OP was fine with a regular ATX mid tower then there's no point of getting mATX over ATX.

Actually you are wrong.

Well the HAF 912 was specifically selected not because it is a micro ATX board and the casing itself is mid-tower, No, BECAUSE, the 7870XT card generates quite a lot heat in comparison to 650 Ti's, hence requiring sufficient Air Flow to keep the card at reasonable temps. Also the HAF 912 allows a quite a lot of expansion, if the OP wants to upgrade.

Yes, the 7870 XT does generate a good amount of heat.
But keep in mind, if the OP requires a mATX board, it's more than likely that the requirement is due to him needed a slightly smaller case.
Remember, OP never said "mATX board." OP said, "My build is strongly Micro ATX only." This applies to both the motherboard AND the case.
Again, what is the point of a smaller size board if you're going to grab a big case? The reason to want a smaller board is to snatch a smaller case.
The 350D also provides good airflow. With a front intake and a rear exhaust, those are usually enough to provide sufficient airflow. Perhaps not as great as the HAF 912, but it does a good job at a smaller size.

Its a mistake to build an AMD FX system unless you can use a 970 or 990 chipset motherboard .

Both the motherboards listed have the 2 generation old 760g chipset , and very low overclocking threshholds because of their design .

Id use a G3220 , H87 or H81 motherboard , 2 x4 gig of RAM as the base for a budget m-ATX system because there are no good m-ATX AM3+ motherboards

Hi guys. Hehe sorry but i need to clear out things. First of all thanks for the replies but the main reason I went G2020 was for me to upgrade it in the future. I see no upgrade path for an APU Family. So, From now on. I'll choose an Intel rig but WHAT combination of mobo and procie would I go in? :)  Thanks.

About the Case, Yes. Please do keep the case because that case was the only case available with USB 3.0 header PLUS the airflow of the case is quite good. (In the future, Ill put a cooler master seidon 120V inside).

Also, The 2 GTX 650 ti's are only OPTIONAL. So i need to clear it out of the list.. My budget would be roughly.... 400$ below. Thanks again (Sorry, quite a noob here :(  )

I am unsure of what this rig is for.I have put in a 1TB HDD and 8gb RAM.If you think you won't be needing that amount, please change them as you see fit.

With that being said, the FX line can upgraded as well, provided you were willing to look at ATX builds. Both iamextreme and realchaos have put out very good "base" builds. You can look at them.

Look for a good XFX,seasonic, corsair or antec PSUs.One thing though, avoid the CX line from corsair. 500W to 600W ,depending on availabilty and price.

Mobo would be trickier. If you don't intend on overclocking at all,see what B75 or H77 based mobos you can find.Perhaps you could post what's available for you so we can help better?
