I'm running a intel i5 3470 at stock speed with a cooler master v6 gt but when i run intel burn test the temperatures of the CPU get to 60 C. I was just wondering if it is normal because I expected the cooler to keep the CPU cooler. The cooler is mounted properly and I used Arctic MX-4 Thermal grease, that I applied in a thin layer with a credit card.

Yeah 60' isnt too bad for intel burn test. IBT will make the temperature much higher than you would see in games.

I prefer to apply thermal paste as a pea size dot in the middle, and let the heatsink push it into the gaps. The credit card method can be tricky to get right.
