Hello,
For about a year I've been using a cheap power supply and recently my computer lost its power and refused to turn back. There wereno sparks but there was a funny smell. I replaced the psu and it my gpu was failing on start up but worked in another computer so I was advised to get a new mobo which I got the crosshair v formula z but that also failed my gpu. So I bought myself a new gpu that required two six pins instead of one and it worked like a charm. It lasted a week before finally the psu died again.
Is it possible that the psu was faulty to begin with and that is why it refused to power my old gpu?
I've bought myself a corsair 750w psu but I'm worried that there is something that's making my psu popped. All the cabling seems fine and components. Could I just have been unlucky for buying a cheap branded psu. It was called Ace.
