Specs:
Intel i3 2120 @ 3.3 GHZ
nVidia Geforce GT 640
6 GB Ram
1TB 7200 RPM HDD
Windows 7 Home Premium
400w PSU

I'm thinking about upgrading to a GTX 760 but would that bottleneck my CPU too much or should I go quad-core first?

Solution
What IAMEXTREME means is that there WILL be a bottleneck, it will just be 65fps instead of the 85fps an i5 would give you. Still perfectly smooth.

What resolution will you be using?

You will not see the full benefits of a 760 using an i3 2120, but the combo will handle all games at 1080p with ease, but mostly because the 760 is massive overkill for 1080p. If you are gaming at a higher resolution, then your i3 will not be enough anymore.

I'm planning to get a quad core soon. I'm just planning on getting the GPU first. Would it be better if I stuck with my GT 640 and get a i5?

Just 1080p. Preferably maxed out

I'm using a single 1080p Vizio TV.

How would Battlefield 4, Red Orchestra 2, and Ghost perform with it?

i3 + GTX 760 @ High settings = no bottleneck
i3 + GTX 760 @ Ultra settings = not a significant bottleneck.
