Hey guys! I am building a new computer for gaming/video production etc. I think I have come up with a pretty good parts list, but I want to see for myself that other people think the same.

Processor: Core i7 4770K
Processor Cooler: CM Hyper 212 Evo
Case: Corsair Obsidian 750D
RAM 16GB 1600mhz Corsair Vengeance (Black)
Motherboard: Asus Maximus VI Hero
Graphics card: Asus R9 290 (provided they come out with one, if not maybe Asus R9 280X Matrix)
SSD: Corsair Force GS 240GB
HDD: WD Black 1TB
PSU: Corsair RM750 (Is this good or should I choose something else, !must be modular!)

About the Graphics card: I am looking at the Asus line of graphics card because I like the cooler. I saw that they don't have an R9 290 out yet. Hopefully they come out with one or i'll have to settle for a R9 280X. I dont want a stock R9 290 because they are loud!

About the PSU. Is this a good PSU for the money or should I go with something else. Preferably corsair because I really like their PSU's, but if there is something else that might be worth mentioning go ahead.

Also, feel free to suggest a change to anything on the system or even comment a new PC part picker list. I have no problem reading a lot because this is going to be my new main build for a while.

Forgot to mention. Would like to future proof this system as I would like it to last at least 5 years.

overall the system looks really good. save 100 buck by getting a i5 as game dont use more than 4 cores. and use that that to get a r9 290x :D

I am building something very similar. However, I opted for liquid cooling (CM 240M), the 330R case, GSkill RAM and Samsung EVO SSD. PSU is fine, but if you Crossfire later you will need 950W. Also, the 290 can be crossfired with the 290X which would draw more power.

Overall the build looks good, and if you are doing video production, you should stick with the i7. Tom's review of the 290 said that the card was a little inconsistent. I would "settle" for the 290x. For the PSU, I'm not sure of the quality of the RM units are with Corsair, but overall I believe you should be fine regardless.

The R9-280x is a good card, but it's a rebadged HD7970 GE, but with a lower price tag.

You could always SLI 770s, or go with a 780, but if you're dead set on AMD, why not Xfire two 280x?

Im not set on AMD's. I dont want to SLI though as I am only running one monitor.

Then just grab a R9-280x and be happy with it.

Cool. Thanks for the input guys!
I'll leave the post open for a few days in case anyone else wants to say something but lp231's last answer is going to be the solution.
