Hello, I've been shopping around for a gaming headset with a quality microphone for under 100 dollars and I have zero clue what to look for! :p I stream on twitch and might start making YouTube videos so I want a headset with a solid mic. I have been looking at the Razer Carcharias headset but saw that people are complaining about a constant hissing noise. I'm sad because I thought I found the headset for me, looked cool and was cheap but I don't want a crap microphone! Any suggestions or insight would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for you time,
Joe

I have had the Steelseries Siberia V2's since the day they came out. Never one problem or glitch. I originally had the original version and they lasted about 5 years. This product is quality and has a great USB sound driver as well. Right now it is on sale for $99.99 on new egg and originally $140. So you would be getting this at a steal of a price. It is VERY comfortable as well and it looks good too. Not to mention FREE SHIPPING!

Hey man thanks for the quick reply! Just one question, its there a difference between the ones you linked and http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826249083 these ones? They are cheaper so if there isnt any difference between them besides not being special edition I might just jump the gun on those. Again thanks for the reply :)

The difference between the two is that the one that I linked comes with a sound card that you plug in through USB, where you download the driver on the steel series website. The reason why the one you linked is cheaper is because it does not come with a sound card and you would have to have an existing card in your setup, or a great on-board card that can handle 7.1 digital sound. If you don't have a decent sound card already, then I would recommend what I linked due to the fact you will only be able to take advantage of hearing from the right and left as opposed to using the surround sound feature where you can have directional hearing. But trust me, you will never go back to anything else once you try these out.
