Hi,
Just wondering if you guys know if the Neo Eco 620C would theoretically support 2 x 6870s. Currently I have one XFX 6870 (NOT OC'd) and the PSU only has 2x 6-pin connectors which each card requires. I have a friend that has an additional XFX 6870 and wants to sell it to me for around $80 so I can't go wrong there with the price. It would cost me much more to purchase a new 7970 single card or higher than to keep the PSU I have and buy this 2nd 6870 barely used card for so cheap.
So if I do go this route, my main concern is how much power each 6870 draws, adding a second one could make it come very close to maxing out this PSU. The single rail has 48A (+3.3V@24A, +5V@24A, +12V@48A, -12V@0.8A, +5Vsb@2.5A).
Since the PSU only comes with 2 x 6-pin connectors and I need a total of 4, obviously I'd have to use two of the 2 molex to 6-pin converters (such as this one).
Just wanted to make sure this PSU is sufficient to support a 2nd 6870 basically if I force it, even though it's not officially designed for this setup.
Edit: Forgot to add I have a 2500k OC'd at 4.5GHz currently. Only have 1 SSD, 1 storage drive and 1 blu-ray drive pulling power from it right now.
